Thanks reader Catie for reminding me you can only use 4 of the same P&G coupons per shopping trip. As such, you would have to break up your transactions into 3 for each scenario. The rebate does allow for multiple receipts, so it wouldn’t be a problem to separate them out for rebate purposes. I have amended the scenario to reflect this.
Remember to beware of the Gift Card/Coupon problem I told you about here and to plan accordingly!  In this case, you will need an additional $6.96 worth of items per transaction to make the deal work.  In this case, if you didn’t need to buy anything else, it would actually be cheaper not to use your coupons instead of having to spend an extra $6.96 per transaction on things you don’t need in order to use $4 in coupons.  If you did that you would still only end up only paying $1.12 for all 12 items after rebate.
I also checked on the Halloween item clearance.  Candy is at 30% off today and all other items are at 50% off.

Thanks to Fabulessly Frugal
